i know the premise of this show seems pretty hokey at first (this poster doesn’t really help) and that it’s just a part of this fairytale fad, but i am seriously hooked. i might be crazy, but it has been signed for a second season…so i can’t be that nuts right?

i started adding onto my studying playlist (all instrumental) this week and came across the lost soundtracks. turns out i can’t add them to the playlist because i get too emotional when listening. pathetic? probably.
it’s no secret that i am a tv and food junkie. my friends have all heard me talk about my top chef marathons. now that im a few seasons in, i can’t help but admire gail simmons. maybe it’s the toronto thing that has created my soft spot for her, but i find her to be a great judge and personality on the show. this article i recently read has me liking her even more—a pro-active person who knows what she is passionate about and isn’t afraid to try new things. i will definitely have to check out her new book when it comes out.
mind blown. it’s like lost all over again. HOOKED.
project runway all stars. sounds great, right? i was pretty excited for this season and was even more thrilled when i found out that some favourites like mondo and rami were back. but after the premiere, i kind of doubt i’ll even watch the rest of the season. angela lindvall and the rest of the judges get a big ‘wuh wuhh’. i miss the peppy german, nina’s harsh but true critiques, and the nasal rantings of mkors. and there’s no project runway without tim gunn!
finally, a canadian show that is worthy of praise. departures follows a group of 3 guys that travel the world together. not only are they hilarious, but they do some amazing things and really capture the feel of each country in their episodes. it’s the first show in awhile that has really helped me escape my surroundings for an hour at a time. the travel bug inside of me is growing…
