diane kruger in versus by versace and giambattista valli couture at cannes. she kills it EVERYTIME.
and the bad. i don’t understand how this manages to happen when you have so many great designers to choose from and stylists to help.
debra messing decided to wear a sparkly bag, and then there’s kirsten dunst who looked like mrs. claus. kristen stewart has always been a mystery to me…WHY people think she’s a fashion icon, i do not understand. here is proof. mary-kate just scares me dressed like this.
and someone please get vera and rachel some sandwiches.
the met gala. the best red carpet event EVER. there’s one guarantee with this event—the fashion will not bore you to tears. but some of the outfits may make you cry because they’re so hideous. the highs are high but the lows are real low. and it also brings some cool groups of people together on the red carpet (stars AND the designers they are wearing).
let’s start with the highs. my favourites tend to be the more interesting looks, rather than just the girls in pretty dresses. beyonce’s dress was kinda crazy, but as a piece of art, the givenchy dress is stunning. i thought carey mulligan’s look was interesting—the prada dress is a masterpiece. camilla belle looked amaaaazing in ralph lauren. the lipstick kept it interesting…i think i’d like it less without.
christina ricci wore a pretty cool thakoon dress, and emma stone stayed true to lanvin. emma’s look is a little “juvenile” but i think that was the point. i just can’t say anything bad about her. emma roberts looked great in escada and gisele bundchen stunned in givenchy. claire danes looked pretty good in j. mendel, but something about the entire look kinda screamed austin powers fembot to me.
my hands down favourites however were kate bosworth and diane kruger, who both wore prada. gorgeous, but still interesting. and NOT boring.

grey jeans no more! 2 rounds of bleach and some fabric dye make for a fun afternoon.
diy from cotton & curls.
i’ve bashed cat deeley’s style in the past, but this definitely makes up for it.
ugh. so good. i would kill for that jacket.
i love it when she nails it. THIS is how you wear a maxi and neons.
the dress, the shoes, the sunglasses. ALL GOOD.
